Message from the Minister of Health to the inauguration of Dr. Madah Nursing Foundation

The Minister of Health considered the establishment of the scientific, cultural and nursing foundation of Dr. Maddah as an important step towards the promotion of the scientific status of the profession and the sanctity of nursing.

The text of Dr. Saeed Namaki's message is as follows:

In God We Trust
Coinciding with the birth anniversary of Hazrat Zeinab, peace be upon her, and Nurses' Week, it is a pleasure to hold a ceremony to honor the nurses. The role of nurses, especially the veterans of this profession in all areas of service delivery in this region is prominent and it can be acknowledged that part of the measures taken to promote public health in the last century has been due to the presence of these loved ones in society and health centers.

The 100-year history of academic nursing in Iran is a testament to the eminent role of prominent professors and researchers, among whom the name of Dr. Sadat Seyed Bagher Maddah shines as one of the familiar faces in the health system. With more than seventy years of service, they continue to have a significant and effective presence in the field of nursing. Their outstanding role in establishing nursing colleges, associations and institutions, attending the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution, and for many years the responsibility of the Nursing Board and training many students who are now nursing professors can be honored and respected.

I hereby congratulate the nursing community for appreciating and honoring the professors and the proud history of nursing, and consider the establishment of the Maddah Nursing Scientific and Cultural Foundation an important step in promoting the scientific status of this profession. I wish all the best and success to those involved in this foundation.
