According to the Secretariat of the National Iranian Nursing Research Network based in Tabriz, the first meeting of the Strategic Council of the third period of the Nursing Research Network was held virtually on Wednesday, June 10, at 16: 30-14: 30, in the presence of the members of the Strategic Council of the second and third periods.

This program began with the recitation of verses from the Quran and the welcome speech of the head of the third period, Dr. Leyla Valizadeh, while thanking the trust of the General Assembly and esteemed officials, she pointed to the issuance of notices by the esteemed members of the Strategic Council of the third period and the beginning of this period in June 2021. Also, Dr. Valizadeh, while appreciating the efforts of the honorable members of the founders and the General Assembly of real and legal members, and the efforts of the chairman, secretary and members of the strategic council and the first and second period research-educational council, informed all the participants about forming the third period secretariat in Tabriz School of Nursing and Midwifery. After Dr. Valizadeh's speech, the members of the meeting benefited from the speeches of Dr. Sadat Seyyed Bagher Maddah.

Then, Dr. Maryam Hazrati, Deputy Minister of Nursing of the Ministry of Health, while welcoming the members of the third period and appreciating the efforts of the director and members of the second period, expressed the expectations of the Deputy Minister of Nursing from the research network.

Dr. Valizadeh also explained the operational status of the network and gave a speech on developing an action plan with a specific mechanism to achieve the expected outcomes and determine the activities that the network should focus on. Next, Dr. Abbas Abbaszadeh, Dr. Seyed Reza Mazloum, Dr. Mohammad Ali Cheraghi, Dr. Alireza Irajpour, Dr. Ahmad Nejatian, Dr. Leyla Joybari and Dr. Neda Mehrdad expressed their views and suggestions on the goals and programs of the network.

At the end, Dr. Valizadeh summarized the issues expressed in the meeting and while re-appreciating the members of the Strategic Council of the second period, presented a letter of appreciation to Dr. Fatemeh Haghdoost Oskooei.
