According to the Secretariat of the National Iranian Nursing Research Network based in Tabriz, the fifth meeting of the Strategic Council of the Nursing Research Network was held on Sunday, December 19th, 2021, in the presence of the esteemed members of the Strategic Council, the esteemed chairman of the network and members of the working group for determining research priorities.
At first, the head of the network, Dr. Leyla Valizadeh, while welcoming the esteemed audience and explaining the agenda, presented a report on the activities carried out in the network and the actions taken in the various working groups of the network.
Dr. Nemadian and Dr. Azadi were introduced as the esteemed representatives of the working group for determining research priorities and related monitoring, and Dr. Nemadian explained about the actions of the working group for determining research priorities.
The members of the Strategic Council were asked to express their views on the method of determining research needs and research priorities from a wide range of network stakeholders and the process of developing a national research roadmap in the field of nursing. The comments were made in three aspects:
- The National Research Network can focus on a number of priorities and set a mission.
- Sampling: in such a way that it is possible to sample from logistic zones (as a sample of the whole). Thus, by conducting research in a specific framework, research priorities will be determined.
- Sending survey forms to all centers related to the National Nursing Research Network to determine opinions, familiarize centers with priorities, and review priorities if possible.
In the end, it was emphasized that the working group should use one or a combination of methods on how to continue the process of determining the research priorities of the nursing network.
