Dr. Farid Najafi, Deputy Minister of Research and Technology of the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education, appointed Dr. Leila Valizadeh as the head of the Nursing Research Network.
The members of the Strategic Council of the Nursing Research Network were also appointed by the Deputy Minister of Research and Technology of the Ministry of Health as follows:

It is worth mentioning that the Nursing Research Network was launched by the founding board in December 2014, and in August 2016, it obtained a license from the Development Council of the Ministry of Health. This network as one of the medical science research networks is a virtual collection of public and private research units and other research centers, educational centers, service centers, industrial centers approved by legal authorities, scientific associations, countries excellence centers, individuals and organizations and institutions using the results of research in various fields related to nursing and are established with the following objectives:
- Facilitate access to evidences related to the nursing disciplines through systematic scientific research in the fields of education, research, services and management
- Create and strengthen the teamwork spirit among nursing researchers and stakeholders
- Generate solutions to problems and issues of patient care in the field of nursing
- Determine national research priorities in the field of nursing in line with the needs of society
- Coordinate and converge research at the national level and prevent parallel operations and additional costs
